Moroccan Football Chief Demands Explanation for Star Player’s Surprise Retirement

The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is demanding an explanation from the player Abderrazak Hamdallah, who announced his retirement without informing the national football authority.
In an interview with the Saudi newspaper, Arriadiyah, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaâ, said he was surprised by the decision of the Moroccan international, Abderrazak Hamdallah, published on Monday on his Instagram account to retire from international football, which leads him to ask for explanations from the star of Al Nasr, currently on vacation in the USA.
The President of the FRMF took the opportunity of this platform to remind all players of their obligation to respect the choices of the national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic.
For his part, in the pre-match press conference, the Bosnian coach put the Al Nasr striker back in his place by describing him as a problem player. And it is rightly that he has never called him up since his appointment. Hamdallah, who is known for his antics, had left the Atlas Lions’ training camp a few days before the 2019 CAN after the penalty affair with Fayçal Fajr.
