Moroccan Film Board Grants Funding to Six New Feature Films

The first session of the Film Production Support Commission was held from July 6 to 11 at the headquarters of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) in Rabat. Among other activities, the Commission reviewed 31 feature film projects wishing to receive advance on receipts before production.
In total, six films were able to benefit from this funding. In this batch is the feature film entitled "The Slave", presented by the company "Dark Cine Prod" and which will be directed by Abdelilah El Jaouhary who also wrote the screenplay. This film received 3.8 MDH from the commission. As for the film entitled "Difficult Days", an amount of 3.75 MDH was allocated to it. It is a feature film presented by the company "Toubkal Prod" and which will be directed by Naoufel Bezzaoui based on the screenplay by Youssef Elfadil.
The Commission also decided to grant 3.6 MDH to the feature film entitled "The Oasis of Frozen Waters" presented by the company "Ozz Films" and which will be directed by Mohammed Raouf Sebbahi based on his own screenplay. As for the company "Rihab Prod", it also presented the project of the film "404.01", which received 3.52 MDH from the commission. The direction will be done by Younes Reggab, based on the screenplay by Mohammed Hafidi.
As for the film entitled "Queens", it received 3.5 MDH as an advance on receipts. It is a feature film presented by the company "Mont Fleuri Production" and which will be directed by Yasmine Benkiran based on her own screenplay. The last film to have received the commission’s grant is titled "The Ring", also a feature film, presented by the company "Desert Eagle Pictures" and which will be directed by Zakaria Zahrani. The commission granted it an amount of 1.2 MDH.
