The filming of this American feature film, directed by Kevin Scott Frakes, is scheduled between April and July 2021, reports Le360. It is an adaptation of the famous novel by the Brazilian Paulo Coelho, still a bestseller more than 30 years after its publication.

For now, no information has yet leaked out about the casting of the future actors. Tom Cruise could play one of the main roles in this feature film, we are told. Pending the start, the four main cities that will host it are known. These are Marrakech, Essaouira, Erfoud and Fez. For Zakaria Alaoui, head of «Zak Production», who is responsible for the executive production in collaboration, several locations were explored before the production team selected only four.

According to Alaoui, several Moroccan actors will be selected to participate in this shoot, which is scheduled to last four months. In addition to "The Alchemist", the director has already directed several other films, including "Lessons in Love" and "American Ultra".

The Alchemist tells the story of "Santiago, a young Andalusian shepherd, who sets out to search for a buried treasure at the foot of the Pyramids. When he meets the Alchemist in the desert, the latter teaches him to listen to his heart, to read the signs of destiny and, above all, to "go to the end of his dream".
