Moroccan Ferry Company Intershipping Faces Bankruptcy Amid Financial Struggles

Moroccans residing abroad who were used to taking boats from the Intershipping company will be disappointed. The shipping company could disappear.
It is the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil, himself, who confirmed this during the parliamentary session. For the official, Intershipping is facing significant financial difficulties, specifying that this company "did not fulfill its commitments made under an agreement on the maritime link between Tangier and Spain."
And to recall that if there is a bankruptcy, Morocco will still have another Moroccan company, AML (Africa Morocco Link) belonging to the Moroccan billionaire Othman Benjelloun, while acknowledging the difficulties facing the giants of the sector, namely Balearia or FRS.
An imminent bankruptcy? A brief visit this Monday, December 25th, to the company’s websites shows that Intershipping’s difficulties are more serious than what the minister says. The two sites (Moroccan and Spanish) return errors and it is therefore, at the time of writing, impossible to make a reservation for tickets between Algeciras and Tanger Med.
