Shipping Company Faces Troubles in Morocco: Vessels Immobilized Over Unpaid Fees

The shipping company InterShipping seems to be in a delicate situation with the Moroccan authorities. This difficulty would be due to the non-payment of port taxes, particularly at the port of Tanger Ville.
Since last week, the ship "María Dolores", flying the Maltese flag, is immobilized in Tangier, Ceuta El Dia believes to know. The exact reasons for this immobilization remain unknown, although the non-payment of fees is mentioned.
On the other hand, a second ship of the company, the "Detroit Jet", is also encountering some problems. Under Moroccan flag, the vessel is currently out of service in Tangier, following the expiration of its certificate. Unconfirmed information is circulating, indicating that it could be placed in dry dock, the same source affirms.
However, the company is working to put the "María Dolores" catamaran back into service this week, which could allow it to ensure the crossing of Moroccans living abroad during the Marhaba operation.
