Moroccan Father Fatally Shot at Home in Paris Suburb, Children Present

Moustapha, a 57-year-old Moroccan, was shot dead in front of his daughters, around ten years old, at his home in Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise). Investigators are conducting investigations to find the alleged killers.
The events took place on the night of Wednesday, March 1 to Thursday, March 2, 2023, in the Muette district of Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise). Criminals shot several times at Moustapha while he was at his window. Alerted by neighbors, the emergency services arrived at the scene. The quinquagenarian is seriously injured, particularly in the throat. The firefighters and then the doctors of the Samu 95 provided him with care, but the victim succumbed to his injuries around 4 a.m.
"It’s horrible what happened, to be shot like that, in front of his children," sighs a neighbor. These are his two daughters, around ten years old. They have no injuries. "His wife was in Morocco. She learned the news during the night and has to come back urgently," he continued. According to the residents, Moustapha had been living in this accommodation for at least ten years.
Before the tragedy, the quinquagenarian had received threats. "Individuals came to his house. They were looking for his other son-in-law, Amine’s brother, but Moustapha told them he didn’t know where he was, that he wasn’t living with him. Maybe they didn’t believe him and in fact it wasn’t Moustapha who was targeted..." confides a relative of the victim. For now, the investigators are continuing their investigations to determine if there is a link between the murder of Amine, 26, the son of Moustapha’s wife, in a parking lot on Rue Paul-Langevin in Garges-lès-Gonesse on March 10, 2022 and that of the quinquagenarian.
