Investigation Links Two Fatal Shootings in Paris Suburb, Suspect Arrested

Is there a link between the murder of Amine, 26, shot dead in a parking lot on Paul-Langevin Street in Garges-lès-Gonesse on March 10, 2022 and that of his father-in-law, Moustapha Mediani? The investigators of the criminal brigade of the judicial police of Versailles are now certain of this. Last Monday, a young man just 20 years old was arrested by the police of the criminal brigade in Sarcelles (Val-d’Oise). He would have participated in the organization of the double murder. After being placed in police custody, he will be released without prosecution. Before him, two other individuals were also arrested as part of this double murder: one was indicted in Pontoise (Val-d’Oise) in the Benouda case, and the other in the Médiani case.

In total, ten suspects, members of the organized gang in the murder of Amine Benouda, including the two direct perpetrators of the facts, have been identified, reports Le Parisien. Four of them admitted to having participated in the murder from a logistical point of view, while a fifth confessed to having set fire to the car to erase the traces after the fact. In all, seven accused have been indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.

Criminals fired several times on Moustapha in the night of Wednesday, March 1 to Thursday, March 2, 2023, in the Muette district of Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise) while he was at his window. Alerted by neighbors, the emergency services arrived on the scene. The quinquagenarian was seriously injured, particularly in the throat. The firefighters and then the doctors of the Samu 95 provided him with care, but the victim succumbed to his injuries around 4 a.m.

Before the tragedy, the quinquagenarian had received threats. "Individuals came to his house. They were looking for his other son-in-law, Amine’s brother, but Moustapha told them he didn’t know where he was, that he didn’t live with him. Maybe they didn’t believe him and in fact it wasn’t Moustapha who was the target..." a relative of the victim had confided. The investigators suspect that Amine and his brother had probably resumed the management of a drug point. A certain Kimo, on the run between Dubai and Morocco, would have been hired to eliminate the competition.
