Moroccan Family Refuses COVID-19 Treatment for 40 Days, Opts for Herbal Remedies

Contaminated for 40 days, four members of a family living in Tetouan, in the popular district of Oued Samsa, have resorted to traditional treatments based on medicinal herbs instead of being treated in the hospital. The deterioration of the health of one of them forced them to be hospitalized.
These four patients infected with covid-19 were finally admitted to a hospital. The family member whose health condition deteriorated was placed under close surveillance at the civil hospital in Tetouan.
According to relatives of the family, two of them had been infected with covid-19 40 days ago, in the enclave of Ceuta where they were working before the borders were closed, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. They then transmitted the virus to the two other family members.
Instead of being admitted to a hospital, they had chosen to resort to traditional treatments based on medicinal herbs. It took one of them to be in critical condition for the father of the family to alert the authorities. They were transferred to a hospital against their will.
The competent authorities have subjected the neighbors to screening tests, in order to avoid the spread of the virus.
