Moroccan Family Faces $85,000 Medical Bill After Son's Tragic Death in Agadir Clinic

A Moroccan family found themselves in a very delicate situation, following rubber checks they issued to a clinic in Agadir. The latter billed 850,000 dirhams for the hospitalization of their son who died after 3 months in a coma.

Revealed by an activist, the case traces the difficulties of a Moroccan family residing in Algeria, whose son had been the victim of a traffic accident.

The 23-year-old young man passed away after spending 3 months in a coma, despite the false hopes that would have been given by the clinic. According to Akhbarona, the story did not stop at that stage, as it billed the stay at 850,000 dirhams.

The family was forced to hand over two guarantee checks in order to recover their son’s remains. The situation later worsened when the clinic filed a complaint for lack of provision, forcing the family to leave Morocco to avoid problems with the justice system.
