Moroccan ’Faith Healer’ Sentenced to 5 Years for Attempted Rape and Fraud

The criminal chamber of the Tangier Court of Appeal sentenced a "religious healer" accused of attempting to rape a woman after making her believe she was possessed.
Prosecuted for rape, fraud and forgery, the charlatan was sentenced to five years in prison. The fake "healer" made the victim believe that she was possessed by an evil spirit, reports Tanjanews.
For her healing, the woman paid the sum of 80,000 dirhams to the accused. But she finally understood the real intentions of the fake healer when he tried to rape her. The victim reported the accused to the authorities, leading to his conviction.
