Moroccan Expats: Essential Documents for 90% Vehicle Import Tax Deduction

Moroccans Residing Abroad who meet the conditions to benefit from the 90% deduction as part of a vehicle clearance must provide several supporting documents.
Here is what the Moroccan customs says in its latest guide dedicated to Moroccans Residing Abroad. They must first present themselves personally to the customs office of their choice. "Personally" means that powers of attorney are not accepted.
Here are the documents to provide:
• Application made on the standard form provided by the service, available on the website www.douane.gov.ma, in the "Forms" section of the space dedicated to Moroccans Residing Abroad;
• Proof of residence abroad for at least ten (10) years, issued by the Moroccan Consulate of the jurisdiction according to this model;
• Copy of the residence card, residence permit or foreign passport, valid, with address abroad;
• Copy of the national identity card or passport, valid;
• Vehicle identification certificate issued in duplicate by the registration center of the place of residence in Morocco;
• Copy of the temporary admission document for the vehicle issued by the customs service;
• Vehicle registration document, issued in the name of the beneficiary;
• Purchase invoice for vehicles less than three (03) months old.
