Moroccan Entrepreneur Launches Motto: Subscription E-Bike Service Hits Paris Streets

The French start-up dedicated to electric mobility, Motto, founded by the Moroccan Driss Ibenmansour (ex Operations Manager at Uber and ex-CEO France of Bird), Pierre-François de Rougé and Antoine Bouttier, is launching an offer of electric bikes by subscription in Paris.

Thanks to a 4 million euro Seed fundraising led by Cassius Family and Founders Future, with the support of European and American Business Angels, Motto is available in Paris. It is launching its offer of personal electric bikes available on subscription, with concierge service. Bikes insured against both theft and damage. What about its characteristics? "In terms of design, the Motto electric bike seems to be available in two frame formats: one open, which facilitates the mounting - and conversely - of your mount, the other closed. The vehicle also has a removable battery with a range of 60 kilometers," reports Frandroid.

Motto has several thousand electric bikes. Subscriptions to its fleet have already started. The price of a monthly plan, with no commitment, is set at 75 euros. The customer will be entitled to the following services: a 24/7 concierge service available via a mobile application, maintenance and repair, assistance, replacement of his bike within a maximum of 24 to 48 hours, recycling of the bike at the end of its life... It is only from April 2022 that the vehicles will be available.
