Moroccan Employment Minister Admits Failing to Register Employees with Social Security

During his participation in a videoconference on the Sahara organized by the youth of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), Mohamed Amekraz said that he had entrusted the management of his law firm opened in 2016 to a colleague since his appointment as minister. The latter then set about settling his situation with the tax authorities and then the CNSS. However, the CNSS stage, he explained, took quite some time and was delayed due to the confinement period.

According to Mohamed Amekraz, his firm has regularized the situation of its employees retroactively by paying all the contributions to the CNSS. He also stated that the employees of his firm and his interns have always been paid above the minimum wage.
