Moroccan Eateries Shine in MENA’s Top 50 Restaurants Ranking

Three Moroccan restaurants are among the 50 best restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This is the result of the 50 Best ranking for the region, unveiled at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers.
The second top of the 50 Best MENA Restaurants 2023 carried out by the British company William Reed Business Media, the main competitor of the Michelin guide, is now known. Orfali Bros Bistro, a gastronomic bistro without a license and a culinary laboratory located in the contemporary Wasl 51 district of Dubai, founded in 2021 by three brothers originally from Syria: Mohammad, Wassim and Omar Orfali, tops the ranking. It is followed by the Indian gourmet restaurant Trèsind Studio, located at The Palm Jumeirah, in Dubai. The restaurant Fusions by Tala, located in Manama (Bahrain) completes the top 3.
With 17 restaurants, the United Arab Emirates dominate the top 50 Best MENA. They are followed by Israel (six restaurants), Egypt (four restaurants), Lebanon and Saudi Arabia (three restaurants each). Morocco is also well represented with three restaurants: Iloli (Casablanca, 37th), Sesamo (Marrakech, 39th) and +61 (Marrakech, 46th). The restaurant Bonjiri (Salmiya, Kuwait) completes the top 50.
"It is a great honor to announce that Orfali Bros Bistro is Number 1. There is no doubt that this establishment is setting a new standard for creativity, innovation and dish presentation, combined with an intimate service style, and we are delighted to celebrate its excellence alongside so many others in the region," said William Drew, Director of Content for Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants.
