Moroccan Driver Arrested After High-Speed Chase in Catalonia, Spain

A man of Moroccan nationality was arrested in Cambrils, in southern Catalonia, by the Mossos d’Esquadra, with a large sum of cash in his possession. The suspect was apprehended after a long chase in the wrong direction, therefore very dangerous.
This Moroccan did not comply with the orders of the Spanish police who ended up chasing him. Indeed, when they wanted to intercept him, the driver did not stop and continued his journey northward, reports the Spanish media El nacional.
It was then that several patrols of traffic and citizen security set out in pursuit of him, until a security barrier of the Mossos d’Esquadra blocked him in Cambrils. On this dangerous road, there were several injured agents during this chase.
According to the same media, this manhunt violated the principles of the AP-7, in Tarragona, especially on this perilous road. As proof, the images recorded from a patrol car of the Catalan police show the danger that was experienced during the operation.
This Moroccan would have fled the police because he was holding probably stolen equipment. Indeed, according to the same source, they found more than 15,000 euros in cash inside the intercepted car, as well as computer and electronic equipment which, it seems, had been stolen.
Here is the video of the chase:
