Moroccan Director Rachid El Ouali Premieres "Coup de Tampon" at French Film Festival

Popular in Morocco and little known in France, the television presenter, but also actor and film director, Rachid El Ouali is invited to the Alès (Gard department) film festival. He will present his third film, "Coup de tampon".

"Coup de tampon" will be presented in Alès on Thursday, March 30 at 6 p.m. Filmed between Sète and Morocco, this feature film, the third directed by Rachid El Ouali, tells the story of a 40-year-old former Moroccan miner. Living in France with his children, his daily life is turned upside down when the doctors tell him that he is suffering from a serious illness. Disagreements arose when he began to prepare his funeral in his country of origin, reports Midi Libre.

After the screening of the film, an exchange is planned with the public. Rachid El Ouali will be accompanied by the actor Marc Samuel who played a role in the film. At 57 years old, Moroccan actor Rachid El Ouali made himself known to Moroccans by presenting the Maghreb version of the game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" on television. The show, broadcast throughout the Arab world, was a resounding success.
