Ghita Mezzour is trying to put an end to the rumors about the purchase by her department of a luxury car for 2.48 million dirhams and another for 1.27 million dirhams. In a press release, she explained that her ministry had launched a tender published on the website marchespublics.gov.ma, under number 4/24/MTNRA to acquire 17 vehicles, and not to buy two luxury cars. The tender includes four lots. "Lot No. 3 concerns the acquisition of 5 category 2 Sedan-type vehicles for a value of 1,273,104 dirhams, while lot No. 4 concerns the acquisition of 10 hybrid vehicles for a total value of 2,479,908 dirhams," specifies the same source. The bids will be opened on May 16, 2024 at 10 a.m.
Regarding the opening of the tender to the international scale, Ghita Mezzour’s department has specified that "tenders exceeding a value of 1,000,000 dirhams cannot be limited to the national level in accordance with Article 19 of Decree No. 2.22.431 relating to public procurement dated March 8, 2023". It will add: "international tenders are also open to national competitors".
