Moroccan Diaspora Gathers at Imilchil Festival to Promote Investment and Culture

Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) massively participated in the 4th edition of the Festival of Moroccans of the World in Imilchil, which was held from August 11 to 14 in Imilchil.
More than fifty MREs responded to the call of the Akhiam and Solidarité échange Nord-Sud (SENS) associations of Bordeaux. This festival organized with the collaboration of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the Network of Solidarity Diasporas (FORIM), made it possible to publicize the various actions carried out by the two associations in Imilchil. It was also an opportunity for the organizers to encourage MREs to invest in this region of Morocco, which according to the various presentations, is full of potential, reports Le Reporter.
Present at this edition of the Festival of Moroccans of the World in Imilchil, the president of the CCME, Driss El Yazami, stressed that this event is "a new proof of the ability of Moroccan associations to forge partnerships for the benefit of the local population". He congratulated the successful organization and mobilization of the Moroccan diaspora.
Marghine Lhou, vice-president of the Akhiam association and coordinator of the SENS association, specified that the festival aims to positively impact the relations between the MREs and the local actors of Imilchil. He recalled the various development projects that have been carried out thanks to the mobilization of donors and the skills of the MREs.
