Moroccan Designers to Showcase Collections at Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Moroccan fashion is celebrated at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Three Moroccan designers will participate in the fashion show scheduled for the closing ceremony of the event, which will take place on May 27 at the Hôtel Martinez.

Several international designers, including three Moroccans, will present their latest creations on this occasion, announced the association of Moroccan fashion designers (Maroc Fashion Week - MFW). They are Moroccans Nadia Ksiyer, Loubna Benkirane and Mouna Benmakhlouf, who will have the privilege of presenting their collections in front of stars who are dressed by the best stylists in the world. An opportunity to position their brands, indicates the association in a press release.

This fashion show, which will take place at the closing ceremony of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, represents an important step for the association, which wants to further promote Moroccan fashion on the catwalks of the biggest film festivals (Cannes, Venice, Deauville, Marrakech...). "Our goal is to develop Moroccan brands more and more and position them in this cinema market to dress international actresses," says Hind Joudar, representative of the MFW.

And she adds: "Through this initiative, we are working to make Moroccan fashion and ancestral know-how known and open up new perspectives for national designers." The participation of Moroccan designers in the Cannes Film Festival marks the beginning of a series aimed at making Moroccan creators shine internationally.
