Moroccan Dating Site Boom: Love, Marriage, and Hidden Dangers

Moroccans, fond of internet dating, are flooding dating sites dedicated to adventures. Some encounters can lead to marriage while others lead to prostitution.
Moroccans are the biggest consumers of this type of site, after Saudis, reports Assabah. According to data from a hacked platform, these dating enthusiasts have various experiences. Some encounters can lead to marriage, while others can turn into a nightmare.
Prostitution, pimping, incitement to debauchery, scams... Some people, including minors, find themselves in horrific situations. Meanwhile, dating sites are making a fortune.
"This phenomenon is explained by the deterioration of social relations, including the institution of marriage, which is no longer based on values, principles and advice," said the academic and psychologist, Mohcine Benzakour, in an interview with the same newspaper.
