Moroccan Court Sentences Father to 6 Years for Raping Adult Daughter

The verdict is in! The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Beni Mellal has just sentenced the man who sexually abused his own daughter in January to 6 years in prison.

The 20-year-old woman is said to have fled the family home to report her father, who raped her so that he could be prosecuted and punished accordingly. She is said to have informed the competent services of the matter, explaining that her father took advantage of her mother’s absence to rape her. And there you have it! Justice has been served!

The lawyer for the raped young woman applauded the verdict given the seriousness of the act, a father raping his daughter... He would also have deplored the proliferation of rape cases in Morocco.
