Moroccan Community Mourns Victim of Racist Attack in Murcia, Spain

The Moroccan Association of Immigrant Workers expresses its gratitude, as well as that of Younes’ widow, to the people who have shown their support.
"On behalf of Younes’ loved ones, we deeply thank you for the solidarity shown in these difficult days that we have had to live through, and which will mark us forever," the association said in a letter published by La Opinion de Murcia.
The association deplores the circumstances in which Younes was torn from the affection of his family and loved ones. "Dear friends, neighbors and neighbors, losing a loved one is always very painful, but losing them due to a premeditated racist attack with a firearm and in cold blood is very terrible, a terror that we wish on no one, on no one," the association added in its letter.

The association also sincerely thanks the residents of Murcia for "the support, the expressions of affection and solidarity that have been given to Younes’ family." And to add: "Infinite thanks for the support. Without this support and sympathy, we would not have been able to overcome this hard ordeal."
"Younes was an exemplary worker, an honest citizen and a good family man. It is devastating to see the perpetrators who use and encourage hatred between people and cause significant damage to society," the statement concluded.
