Moroccan Community Marches for Justice After Teen's Murder in Spanish Town

The Moroccan community of Alcalá la Real organized a peaceful march on Saturday to demand justice for the death of Khaoula Elhaiba, the 14-year-old girl whose lifeless body was found on Tuesday in an abandoned church in the city.

The Moroccans of Alcalá la Real as well as neighbors of the victim’s family, were numerous to join the central square of the city with banners and posters bearing the image of the teenager. From there, they demonstrated peacefully to the town hall to demand justice for the death of Khawla, reports Alcalá la Real Información.

The original title alone doesn’t give sufficient context about the circumstances, significance, or details of the incident to craft a responsible headline for an English-language news outlet. To write an appropriate headline, I would need more facts and context from the full article or a more detailed summary.

"My daughter wanted to be a university professor, she dreamed of going very far, she wanted to change not only her life but also mine. And in one minute, they took her life. We ask the government that justice be done and that the perpetrator of this crime rot in prison...," Hakima Zeroil, Khawla’s mother, said on the occasion. And Rafik Es Soufi, Hakima’s cousin, added: "We only ask for justice, that the Constitution and the law be applied to all, whether we are immigrants or not..."

Rafik also confirmed that Khawla’s body has not yet been repatriated to Morocco. "We must perform a Muslim prayer in a mosque before her departure. It will probably be on Monday," he announced, regretting the death of the minor, "noble and good" according to her relatives. Rafik said that Khawla had made a promise to her mother. "Now you sacrifice yourself for me, but one day I will repay you. I will buy you a house, a car. I will reward you," she had assured her. Unfortunately, she will no longer be able to keep this promise.

The body of the young girl is expected on Wednesday or Thursday in Beni Ayat (Béni Mellal-Khénifra) in Morocco where the burial will take place, relatives have confirmed.
