Moroccan Comedian Rachid Rafiq Faces Rape Allegations and Paternity Dispute

Moroccan comedian Rachid Rafiq is being prosecuted in a rape case that resulted in a birth. The victim, a 25-year-old Moroccan woman, claims that the actor refuses to recognize his 10-month-old son.
During an evening organized by the "Humouraji" troupe in Marrakech on February 9, 2018, the comedian Rachid Rafiq allegedly assaulted and sexually abused the young woman, according to Akhbarona.
The victim stated that the comedian, who was intoxicated, had forced her to have sexual intercourse, resulting in a pregnancy and the birth of a boy. Dismissed by her family, she approached the actor to support her and to find a solution to what she considered a scandal.
However, he refused to recognize his child, claiming, the same source believes, that he was married and that his situation did not allow him to acknowledge his paternity. The victim added that she had refused the proposal of the comedian’s mother, who wanted to take charge of the abortion operation.
The young woman, having failed to convince the artist to recognize her 10-month-old son, finally decided to turn to justice and to prosecute Rachid Rafiq for sexual assault resulting in a birth.
