Moroccan Coast Guard Foils Drug Smuggling Operation at Sea, Recovers 44 Bales

A Royal Navy Coast Guard on patrol thwarted, on Thursday, November 5, a drug trafficking operation. This followed a high-speed chase at sea of a fast cormorant.
The patrol was unable to apprehend the traffickers. They managed to get away, after throwing the drug cargo overboard, reports the MAP, which points out that forty-four (44) bales of chira were recovered by the Royal Navy Coast Guard and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual procedure.
