Moroccan Caftan Steals Spotlight at Miss Universe 2021 Pageant
The Moroccan caftan is in the spotlight at the 70th Miss Universe 2021 edition taking place in Israel. It is sublimated by the young Miss Morocco, Kawtar Benhalima, in the running for the crown and dressed by the Moroccan stylist Samira Haddouchi.
During the first parade of the ceremony on Friday, Kawtar was in all her majesty in a traditional Moroccan caftan. A caftan dress with a boat neckline, revealing her lovely head and graceful neck, gracefully uncovered by its so feminine boyish cut, reports SRNT News.
During this evening, Miss Morocco’s passage seduced the guests and the presenters who did not hesitate to applaud the splendor of the caftan. "A traditional look that represents elegance and majesty and more than twelve centuries of history," described the ceremony presenter in a very enchanting tone, notes the same source.
This caftan is inspired by the different costumes that have marked the history of Moroccan culture over the centuries and which have especially changed according to the spatial and temporal framework, confided the stylist Samira Haddouchi.
For the stylist, "dressing Kawtar Benhalima who represents the Kingdom at Miss Universe is a pride but also a great responsibility. It is also an honor to present the Moroccan costume at such a global event".
