Moroccan Café Owner Returns Customer’s Lost €20,000 Lottery Ticket in Spain

The owner of the Youss cafeteria in Vigo returned to one of his customers a winning lottery ticket worth 20,000 euros that the latter had lost. A gesture that has aroused admiration and consideration for this 39-year-old Moroccan whose business is nevertheless going through major difficulties.
It is in Vigo that the most beautiful Christmas story, of camaraderie and friendship, was written last Tuesday. Youssef Abriga, owner of the Youss café, returned to a customer a winning lottery ticket worth 20,000 euros from the fourth Christmas prize that he had lost. After noticing the disappearance of his ticket, Jaime Lorenzo came back to the café. "I came here and found that it was the winning fourth prize. I told him I had lost my ticket and he told me to look better. I went home, but nothing. I told him I must have been unlucky if I had lost it. Then he told me he had it. I am very grateful to him. He has all my admiration, he is a very good boy," he testified, reports La Region.
Youssef had insisted and he had to make sure he was really the owner. "The employee who was there that day had picked it up," he explained. Jaime Lorenzo is grateful to him for this gesture. All the customers and neighbors of the neighborhood feel indebted to the 39-year-old Moroccan, who has lived in Spain for 20 years and has been in Galicia since 2006.
While receiving the marks of affection and gratitude from his neighbors, the young Moroccan could not hold back a few tears. This year has been very difficult for him. "I opened the café in January and the pandemic came right away," he confided.
His employee Ana Montenegro confirms this. "He is not only the best boss, he is also a good colleague and a very good person," she said, unable to stop hugging him. To Ana, Youssef had announced that she had to be laid off the following week. "I understood, he’s having difficulties. But now my luck has turned! Not only will she not have to do it, but she also has four winning participations, two she bought and one she gave to her sister, and two others that Youssef himself had given her the day before the draw. "He gave me 10,000 euros," she stressed.
Now this Vigo hotelier is smiling again. He will be able to start his business and realize a dream: "I want to visit my mother, who is very ill, in Morocco," he announced emotionally.
