Moroccan Businessman's Bribery Scheme Exposed by Audio Recording

A Moroccan businessman wanting to get rid of one of the managers of his company and a notary, bribed a police officer to falsify an expert report and thus compromise them. But their little arrangement will be revealed by an audio recording.

It is an attempt to falsify an expertise carried out on checks in the amount of 1.5 million dirhams and a purchase contract for an apartment in Tangier in the same amount. This is the means found by a businessman who wanted to have one of his employees as well as a notary accused of forgery of signatures.

To succeed, "he offered 100,000 dirhams to a police officer on duty at the scientific laboratory to claim that the signatures reproduced on the checks and the purchase contract did not belong to him". But fearing prosecution, the police officer retracted, reports the daily Assabah.

According to the newspaper, one of the policeman’s acquaintances would have made him understand that he was taking a big risk by giving in to such a game. He renounces the falsification of the expert report and declares that the signature on the checks and the purchase contract belongs to the businessman. But this is without counting on the existence of an audio recording, witness to the plan concocted by the two men.
