Moroccan Business Group Urges Boycott of World Cup Matches with Controversial Commentator

The association of cafe, restaurant and tourism unit owners has called on all its regional and provincial delegations to boycott the World Cup Qatar matches that will be commented on by the Algerian journalist Hafid Derradji from the Qatari channel Bein Sports, known for his positions against Morocco.
The professional association, in a statement, explained its approach by its attachment to "the Islamic values of tolerance", its desire to "preserve" young Moroccans "from anything that could spread feelings of hatred" between the two "brotherly peoples" Moroccan and Algerian and its willingness to promote "the messages of peace, tolerance, and rapprochement between peoples for which football is made".
The association accuses the Algerian journalist of only "spreading a discourse of hatred among the youth" instead of promoting the "values of brotherhood and solidarity". It also clarified that it only opposes the "hostile discourse" of the Algerian commentator known for his positions on the Sahara issue. This subject "is not a question of the king (Mohammed VI) but of all Moroccans."
