Moroccan Authorities Intercept Fishing Boat with 29 Migrants Near Dakhla
4 illegal immigrants, of Moroccan nationality, were arrested on Thursday in Ntireft (north of Dakhla), on board an artisanal fishing boat.
The collaboration between the Royal Gendarmerie and the local authorities made it possible to arrest these illegal immigrants, says a security source. During this operation, several logistical means used in illegal immigration operations, including two outboard motors and three fuel cans, were also seized.
In addition to the Moroccans, 25 sub-Saharan Africans were also arrested. Furthermore, the searches and investigations are continuing to elucidate the circumstances of this case as well as the persons involved, specifies the same source.
