Moroccan Authorities Dismantle ISIS-Linked Terror Cell in Errachidia, Arrest Three Suspects

The elements of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) proceeded, this Tuesday, September 14, to the dismantling of a terrorist cell affiliated with the Islamic State, composed of three individuals aged 37, 27 and 21 years active in the city of Errachidia.
The simultaneous operations carried out by the special force elements of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) made it possible to arrest the main suspect who is the "presumed emir" of this terrorist cell, as well as two other members of the cell operating in the city of Errachidia, indicates a press release from the DGST.
This cell, affiliated with Daesh, was planning attacks against individuals as well as sensitive sites, and was also planning to carry out a large-scale recruitment campaign in order to strengthen its ranks, the same source specifies.
The searches carried out at the suspects’ homes and in the business premises of one of them made it possible to seize computer equipment, memory cards, mobile phones and paramilitary clothing, the press release states.
