A lightning operation carried out by the Special Forces of the Rapid Intervention Brigade on Tuesday made it possible to dismantle this terrorist network affiliated with the Islamic State, indicates the BCIJ in a press release, specifying that four people, aged between 22 and 44, were arrested and placed in custody.
The searches carried out at the suspects’ homes allowed the seizure of a bulletproof vest, a helmet, a rifle sight and a mask, as well as documents and electronic media glorifying terrorism. All of these documents will be subject to thorough analysis.
According to the preliminary investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor in charge of terrorism cases, the accused were planning to carry out terrorist projects in the kingdom. The investigations continue in order to identify and neutralize any other possible members of this terrorist cell.
