Moroccan Authorities Capture Elusive Drug Kingpin After 5-Year Manhunt

Wanted on 20 national arrest warrants, and sought by the police for more than 5 years, a trafficker was apprehended at the end of last week, in the vicinity of the city of Temara.
The main supplier for the Rabat region, the drug baron was arrested, following a note received by the Royal Gendarmerie services, regarding his location.
By arresting the trafficker’s personal assistant, the gendarmes managed to get him to confess. Valuable information provided by the latter allowed them to locate him.
The trap set by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, with the complicity of his assistant, made it possible to put an end to the trafficker’s long flight, despite his last attempt to escape the gendarmes’ clutches.
Three individuals were taken into custody, during this operation, under the supervision of the Temara Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending their appearance before the courts.
