Moroccan Athlete Covers 615 km in 6-Day Ultra-Marathon, Clinches Category Win

Saïd Bourjila has just written a new page in his sports career at the ultra-marathon called "6 Days of France" from August 16 to 22 in southeastern France. The Moroccan athlete delivered a very good performance by covering a distance of 615.271 kilometers on foot, over 6 days.
The Moroccan with 143 hours, 44 minutes and 42 seconds takes the fourth place in the overall ranking and the first place in his category. During the lap of honor organized to celebrate the event, Saïd Bourjila appeared carrying the Moroccan flag. The "6 Days of France" is a competition highly prized by athletes from around the world. The principle is to run non-stop for six days. It is up to them to know how to manage their physical and mental condition in order to come out on top, reports the MAP.
The Moroccan athlete started running in 2014 at the age of 40. Originally from Al-Hoceima, he had started with short distances before discovering a passion for long distances. Married and father of two daughters, Said Bourjila is a self-taught person who flies on his own wings. Even though he is not a member of a club, he has several victories to his credit, including the 48 hours of Royan in 2016 and the Finish Line in Paris in 2018. He was the only athlete to defend the colors of Morocco, the Arab world and the African continent at the last ultra-marathon of the "6 Days of France".
With this latest performance, the Moroccan is already thinking about how to break the record of the 24 Hours of the Quai du Cher Vierzon, which will be held in October 2020. He also plans to participate in the 6 days of Grand EST in July 2021, the same source specifies.
