France Imposes COVID-19 Test Requirement for Travelers from Morocco

France now requires travelers from Morocco to have a negative PCR test performed less than 72 hours before departure.
This measure comes following the removal of Morocco by the European Union from the list of safe Schengen area countries. The hexagon has therefore reinforced its restrictive measures for all travelers from the Kingdom.
In a statement published on Tuesday, August 18, the French Embassy in Morocco specified that its nationals, Moroccans residing in France and Moroccan students with long-stay visas, in particular, are authorized to travel to France. But they will have to present an international travel authorization (downloadable from the website of the French Ministry of the Interior), a sworn statement as well as a negative PCR test dated less than 72 hours.
Regarding the PCR test, it is required at boarding for all nationalities except children under 11 years old. For these tests, the embassy of France supports that only the date of sampling will be taken into account.
As for travelers whose departure is planned in the following days, on-site tests in France are planned during a transitional phase.
