Miss Universe Scandal: Iris Mittenaere's Alleged Infidelity Rocks Instagram and Sparks Online Backlash

Diego El Glaoui recently made revelations on Instagram about his separation from Iris Mittenaere, mentioning an infidelity that he was willing to forgive. A statement that has inflamed the web and provoked hateful reactions targeting the young woman.

After several years of intense love, crowned by an engagement on the shores of Lake Como in August 2022, Diego El Glaoui and Iris Mittenaere have broken up their relationship two years later. A seemingly difficult breakup for the influencer who revealed an infidelity attributed to Iris in a post on Instagram last June.

"I discovered that I had been betrayed shortly after our engagement and for several months. And despite this, I chose to forgive, to fight for our promise of eternal commitment, to give our couple another chance, and not to explode," he hinted. And to continue: "I wanted to forgive, I wanted to repair. I wanted to save what could be saved." These words from Diego El Glaoui provoked a wave of reactions on social networks. Internet users in particular attacked Iris Mittenaere, who was targeted by hateful messages and harassment, reports Closer Mag.

Questioned on Monday, August 4 by an Internet user about a tense moment between him and Iris in the series Influence(s), Diego El Glaoui wanted to clarify: "I could have had this passage removed from the series (and the trailer), but I wanted to share something true and sincere with the viewers of the series. I didn’t see anything wrong with showing that we, too, sometimes go through periods and moments of tension. Moreover, I have trouble thinking that the vast majority of couples don’t live through similar moments where sometimes words prevail over wisdom."

The influencer took this question-and-answer session with his Instagram community to also acknowledge his share of responsibility. "Indeed, I said ’You’re pissing me off’, and that’s not nice. But to undergo such a wave of hatred for that, it seems disproportionate to me. Those who read the scandal press will perhaps now better understand why I had so much pain in me at that time. I was destroyed from the inside, in reconstruction, but I had to be strong in front of the cameras," he explained.
