Moroccan-American Rapper French Montana Releases Anthem Celebrating World Cup Success

Morocco achieved historic feats at the 2022 Qatar World Cup before losing their semi-final match against France (2-0) on Wednesday. A historic run that American rapper of Moroccan origin, French Montana, celebrates with a new song.
"Morocco". This is the title of French Montana’s new song to celebrate Morocco, the first African and Arab country to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, before being beaten by France after a hard-fought match. "No Moroccan in the world should be sad today (Wednesday, December 14). We shook the world and made history. Never done before. So proud of the whole Moroccan team. And so proud of the whole country," the rapper writes on his Instagram account.
The song "Morocco" is available on Apple Music and Spotify, or on YouTube. It shows the team’s journey at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, which will continue this weekend. The Lions of the Atlas will play the third-place match against Croatia on Saturday, December 16, in an attempt to win third place.
On Saturday, the performer of Welcome to the party and other Moroccan supporters living in the United States had celebrated Morocco’s monumental feat of eliminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal (1-0), at Times Square, to secure their first-ever qualification for the semi-finals of a World Cup.
