Morocco Dominates World Cup Google Searches, Outpacing Soccer Giants

Google has revealed the most searched terms in the world during this period when the World Cup is being played in Qatar. The term "Morocco" tops the ranking.
According to the latest Google trends associated with Morocco, the national team is the most searched for the 2022 World Cup in the world. For example, 90% of Kenyans searched for information on the Atlas Lions last week. Interest in the keyword ’Morocco’ peaked by 4,700% during the quarter-final match between Morocco and Portugal, won by the Atlas Lions (1-0). Google says Portugal, Argentina, Brazil and Croatia are also on the list.
In a statement, Google indicates that search data also shows there was interest in the Morocco-France duel. The names "Achraf Hakimi", "Yassine Bounou", "Hakim Ziyech", "Sofiane Boufal" and "Sofyan Amrabat" are the most searched.
In Morocco, supporters have searched to find out the (Moroccan) time at which the national team will play against France. They also wanted to know the plan according to which the French team plays and the number of matches played by the Moroccan national team against France.
After their defeat against France in the semi-finals, Morocco will face Croatia this Saturday at 4pm in the third place match in an attempt to win third place.
