Moroccan Airports Welcome Over 115,000 Expats as Summer Travel Surges

Moroccan airports were able to successfully process a flow of 180,000 travelers, 64% of whom arrived within a period not exceeding one week, announced on Tuesday the head of government, Saad Dine El Otmani, indicating that this flow will see a growing increase in the coming days.

At the House of Advisors where he was responding to a central question regarding the reception of MREs, Mr. Saad Dine El Otmani specified that Moroccan airports are preparing to relaunch the activities of nearly 42 air transport companies connecting Morocco to 43 countries.

He recalled on this occasion that the government since June 15, in application of the royal instructions, has mobilized to take all the necessary measures and provisions for the success of the operation of the return of MREs to their country. "The public authorities are focusing on facilitating the reception and support of MREs until their return to their host countries," he assured before mentioning the measures relating to the intensification of maritime and air transport and the adaptation of ticket prices.

Emphasizing the multiple investments of MREs and the transfers of money to their families, he noted the predominant economic role of MREs for their country of origin.
