Moroccan Actor Saïd Naciri Aids Critically Ill Actress Saadia Louk, Calls for Industry Support
Saïd Naciri is coming to the aid of Saadia Louk, who is suffering from a serious illness and is paralyzed. The Moroccan actor and director has decided to partially cover the medical expenses of the actress who has been transferred from Marrakech to a private clinic in Casablanca.
In a statement to the site Alyaoum24, Saïd Naciri explained that he felt the duty to assist Saadia Louk who is going through a difficult period. "Saadia Louk is one of the great artists like Amina Rachid... However, she has not obtained the place she deserves in the artistic milieu like the others. I reached out to her as a simple citizen. I cannot find a citizen in need without providing my help."
And he continued: "The artistic milieu lacks a spirit of solidarity, on the pretext that anyone who lends a hand to another artist is looking to create ’buzz’ and celebrity. Added to this is the neglect of the unions who do not play their roles and fail in their duties." Khadija, Saadia Louk’s daughter, confirmed to the same media the state of paralysis in which the actress has been for years.
Referring to the family’s inability to cover her mother’s treatment, Khadija launched an appeal for help to the Ministry of Culture and to any goodwill person so that Saadia Louk can benefit from quality care and recover quickly.
