Moroccan Activists Launch National Petition for Gender Parity in Leadership Roles

Moroccan associations are asking that women occupy places of choice politically, socio-economically, culturally and environmentally. The initiative comes from a collective called "Parity Now", which has launched a campaign to collect signatures to force the authorities’ hands.
The "Parity Now" Collective is made up of women’s and men’s rights defense associations, political party and union leaders, civil society associations, research professors, media personalities, women’s rights defending artists and intellectuals, and citizens. The parity petition aims to strengthen the presence of women on the national scene and in all areas.
The initiative primarily wants to draw the attention of the authorities to the need to strengthen the tools that can help women gain access to decision-making positions in all areas.
