’Money Heist’ Final Scenes to be Filmed in Morocco, Featuring Local Soccer Star

The final scenes of the famous Spanish series "La casa de Papel" will be shot in Ouarzazate and Casablanca. It will feature the participation of Moroccan footballer Mohcine Nachit.
"I had contacted the hero of the series, Alvaro Morte, a few months ago, and he asked me to send ten photos for the casting, right now I am preparing the necessary documents to go to Spain to undertake this adventure," said Mohcine Nachit to Hespress. The former player of Wydad de Casablanca will play the role of a football player. He said he had agreed to participate in the filming on the following condition: "not to play in hot scenes out of respect" for his "religion", his "country", his "family" and his "person".
The filming of the series will take place in Ouarzazate and Casablanca. These two cities will be the scene of the events of the end of an armed robbery. Two new stars will participate: Miguel Angel Silvestre and Patrick Criado.
Netflix recently announced that the first five episodes of the fifth part with a "very aggressive style" will be released on September 3, 2021, while the release of the last five "more peaceful" episodes is scheduled for December 3, 2021.
Directed by Álex Pina and broadcast between May 2, 2017 and November 23, 2017 on the Antena 3 channel in Spain, "La casa de papel" was a huge success, thanks to the Netflix streaming platform.
