Monaco’s Eliesse Ben Seghir Reportedly Considering Switch from France to Morocco National Team

The rumor is circulating: Eliesse Ben Seghir, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder of AS Monaco, could abandon the colors of the French team to wear the jersey of the Atlas Lions.
Rumors of a "total and definitive agreement" have spread on social media following an announcement by the media Soccer212. The announcement of this decision, if confirmed, would come after a very good season, with 4 goals and 3 assists in 23 appearances.
Ben Seghir, who was crowned best player of the 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament with the French U18 team, would therefore have chosen to join the Moroccan camp, in a context where the national team is seeking renewal, after a draw in a friendly against Cape Verde and a defeat against South Africa.
Other sources, such as RMC, indicate that Ben Seghir has not yet confirmed his decision to represent Morocco. Born in Saint-Tropez, the young player has already represented France in the U17, U18 and U19 categories, his last selection dating back to March.
