Models Imaan Hammam and Nora Attal Join Fight Against Elephant Poaching

Moroccan-Egyptian model Imaan Hammam and British model of Moroccan origin Nora Attal are engaged in the fight against elephant poaching. In this regard, they are supporting the #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign by Loewe, a Spanish luxury ready-to-wear and accessories house for men and women.
The two models are supporting the initiative through posts on their Instagram accounts. Imaan Hammam posted a close-up shot of the woven elephant-shaped bag on her stories with the #KnotOnMyPlanet hashtag. For her part, Nora Attal posted a collage of black and white photos in which she is seen posing next to the bag. "Excited to share with you this @LOEWE Elephant basket bag that was created in collaboration with the #KnotOnMyPlanet campaign. Its eyes are hand-beaded by Samburu artisans," she wrote in the caption.

Loewe hopes to raise funds through the sale of the bags, which will be donated to the Elephant Crisis Fund, a joint initiative of Save the Elephants and the Wildlife Conservation Network, in partnership with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. This initiative aims to stop poaching, prevent trafficking and end the demand for ivory. According to the KnotOnMyPlanet website, 100,000 African elephants were killed between 2012 and 2015 due to the high demand for ivory.
