Missing 11-Year-Old Found Dead in Morocco; Mother Confesses to Killing Son

Brahim, an 11-year-old child, had been reported missing by his family for several days. On Monday, his lifeless body was found under the rubble by local authorities, in the M’ghogha district of Tangier.
Little Brahim, victim of violent blows inflicted by his mother, succumbed to his injuries and was abandoned by her buried under the rubble, on a road connecting Tangier to Tetouan. The mother had deliberately pushed her son into the bathroom of their home, causing a fatal fall.
After trying to cover up her crime, the 43-year-old mother of four eventually confessed her act and led the authorities to the place where she had hidden the child’s body.
The remains of little Brahim were taken to the hospital morgue, pending an autopsy to determine the circumstances of his death.
"The defendant has been taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to elucidate all the ins and outs of this case," explains the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
