Missing Essaouira Police Commissioner Found in Marrakech, Faces Disciplinary Action

Missing since November 28, a police commissioner serving at the provincial security district of Essaouira was found in Marrakech. An administrative investigation has been opened in order to take disciplinary measures against him.
According to the Marrakech police prefecture, the commissioner’s family and the provincial security district of Essaouira reported his disappearance. The searches and investigations carried out on the ground revealed that the missing person had voluntarily absented himself to go to Marrakech.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that a judicial investigation has been opened to determine the reasons for his absence, which may be related to personal and financial problems.
