Missing Belgian Teen Rania Harrach Found Safe After 3-Day Search

More fear than harm for Rania Harrach, the young girl reported missing on Thursday, December 1, in Chênée (province of Liège). Significant resources had been deployed to find her.

Good news for Rania Harrach’s parents. The young girl "was found in good health" on Sunday, the federal police said. She had been missing since December 1. "Rania was supposed to go to her internship in Beaufays and she never got there... She was last seen on December 1 in the morning in Chênée. Her phone has been off since December 1 at 8 pm," her family had said in a missing person notice posted on social media.

The federal police did the same. The young woman from Sprimont "had left her home in Sprimont on the line 65 bus towards Chênée. At 2:15 pm, the young woman took bus line 10 at the Bois-de-Breux viaduct towards Romsée. She got off at 2:20 pm in Beyne-Heusay at the level of the town hall. Since then, she has not made any contact," they had specified in an official missing person notice on Saturday.

Significant resources, including the use of a federal police helicopter equipped with thermal cameras, were then deployed to find Rania. It was finally in the afternoon of Sunday that the young girl was found.
