With 1.7 million passengers, Morocco becomes Transavia France’s second-largest market

The low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM group unveiled the results of its Moroccan operations this Thursday, September 17. During the summer peak alone, it carried nearly 500,000 passengers to the kingdom, 20% more than in summer 2025, Transavia France said.

The Paris-Orly–Marrakech route recorded the network’s highest load factor in Morocco, at 97%, ahead of Paris-Orly–Rabat and Lyon–Marrakech. It also topped sales, with more than 84,000 seats sold, followed by Paris-Orly–Agadir with 66,000 seats and Paris-Orly–Oujda with 48,000.

These results now place Morocco second among Transavia France’s markets by the number of passengers carried. The airline did not specify in its report which country holds first place.

This growth is accompanied by a further increase in capacity. After unveiling its Moroccan program for the winter season in the spring, Transavia now announces more than 611,000 seats between France and Morocco for winter 2026-2027, 8% more than during the previous season.

Up to 160 flights per week this winter

The airline plans up to 160 weekly flights across 25 routes. The Nantes–Tangier and Lyon–Fez routes, initially offered during the summer season, will be extended through the winter.

The increase will be particularly significant at Paris-Orly. The route to Casablanca will gain seven flights per week compared with the previous winter, while the route to Rabat will receive six additional weekly frequencies.

Transavia France will thus serve eleven Moroccan airports: Agadir, Casablanca, Dakhla, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fès, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Rabat and Tangier. Flights will depart from nine French airports, including Paris-Orly, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille, Montpellier, Brest, Rennes, Biarritz and Deauville.
