Migrants Found in Critical Condition Near Morocco-Algeria Border

The emergency department of the regional hospital in the city of Oujda had to urgently treat a group of sub-Saharan migrants whose health has seriously deteriorated due to hunger and cold. Residents of Tiouli, near Jerada, are said to have found three in extreme difficulty just steps from the Moroccan-Algerian border.
Residents of Tiouli are said to have discovered, on Wednesday, three irregular migrants who were in critical condition, caused by hunger and cold, and immediately alerted the gendarmerie who took charge of transferring them to the Al Farabi hospital in Oujda, reports the Rue20 website. And they would not be the only ones, several other migrants would have been forced to go to the same hospital.
Last Monday, it was an Ivorian migrant who was found, in the border region of Roubane, in critical condition, before being taken to the hospital. According to the same source, she was abandoned by the group of migrants with whom she had previously crossed the border because her mobility had been slowed down by the cold due to a leg pain.
In addition, the body of another migrant was transferred this week to the morgue of the Al-Farabi hospital, after being found in the border area of Ras Ousfour.
