Midair Miracle: Baby Girl Born on Royal Air Maroc Flight from Casablanca to New York

A little girl was born mid-flight, an hour after the takeoff of the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Airbus AT200 flight from Casablanca to New York on October 30, 2019, according to a press release from the airline.
A few minutes after takeoff, the young mother felt the first contractions. Immediately, she was supported by the cabin crew, with the assistance of the cabin manager who successfully carried out the delivery at 5:20 pm.
According to the RAM press release, the captain was forced to turn back urgently, in accordance with the regulations in force.
On arrival of the plane at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, the baby and the mother, in perfect health, were welcomed by the emergency services to provide them with medical assistance, the same source said.
As soon as the baby was born, RAM, in the same press release, wished "full happiness" to the healthy mother and baby, while apologizing "to the passengers" affected by the delay caused by this situation.
It should be noted that for these emergency cases, the hostesses and stewards of the national company are trained in various medical intervention techniques, including for delivery operations.
